Woodrow T. Franklin, son of Bary Franklin and Laura Belle Rodgers Franklin, was born February 28, 1924 in Sailor Springs, Illinois. He passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 in the Marshfield Care Center at the age of 89.
Woodrow was a retired farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dennis Franklin in 1999; and six brothers and sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Woody Franklin and his wife Carol, Xenia, Ill and Bary Franklin and his wife Marlene, Marshfield; four daughters, Linda Samuel. Springfield, Laura Jackson, Marshfield, Share Young and her husband, Jeff, Kansas City, and Carla Burgess, Shawnee, KS; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
His body has been cremated. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 9, 2013 in the Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield. Interment with full military honors will be in the Marshfield Cemetery at a later date.
