Patricia Foster Thompson, age 89, of Marshfield, Missouri passed away peacefully on January 27, 2016. She was born February 8, 1926 to John and Elizabeth (Fyan) Foster. She graduated from Drury University in 1948, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She married Otis E. Thompson who preceded her in death in 2000.
After many years as a home maker she taught social studies at Marshfield High School for twenty years. She was an active member of the Marshfield United Methodist Church, the sisterhood of PEO, Delta Kappa Gamma, Drury Women’s Auxiliary, the AAUW and many other community organizations.
She is survived by sons, Ken Thompson and his wife Joy, Wally Thompson and his wife Connie, and John Thompson and his wife Carolynn, her seven grandchildren; Julie Goodmann and her husband Joe, Will Thompson, Nicki Thompson and Matt Roy, Ricci Flowers and Jesse Kirk, Katie Thompson, Josh Thompson and his wife Alexandra, and Sophia Thompson; her five great grandchildren, Joey, Max, Kate, Lennon and Kendrick; and her sister-in-law Anne Foster, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Marshfield United Methodist Church at 2 p.m., under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield.
