Dale D. Hyde

Dale D. Hyde, son of Elmer and Louise (Caffey) Hyde was born January 20, 1932 in Niangua, MO, and passed away at the age of 85, March 11, 2017.

On August 9, 1957 he married Linda Neill and three children were born to this union. Dale lived his entire life in Webster County, except for the two years he was in the Army during the Korean conflict. He had been owner and operator of Supreme Oil Co. since 1956. He was always interested in his community, serving on; Senate 40 Board, Marshfield Development League, Webster County Health Unit, and belonged to the Marshfield Lions Club. He was a member of Marshfield United Methodist Church and was honored to serve as an usher for many years. His way of starting a new day was to go in a café and have coffee with his friends. He was an avid Men and Lady Bear fan. Going on camping trips with Staleys, Cases, and Chudomelkas was always a new adventure and will be memories never forgotten.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Jill; his parents; four brothers, Roy, Joe, Wilbur and Tom; and his sister, Nina Faye McGoon.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; daughter Dena (Curt) Weaver; son Neill Hyde; grandchildren Kiley and Jalyn Weaver, and Leah Hyde.

A visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the United Methodist Church, Marshfield. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 15 at the United Methodist Church under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the United Methodist Church or Marshfield Lions Club.
