Sherman Edwin Lowe, son of Phillip Lowe and Erna (Otting) Lowe, was born October 19, 1938 in Niangua, MO. He went to be with the Lord, Friday, October 3, 2014. He was 75.
Sherman married Wanda McClanahan on June 5, 1959 and to this union five children were born. They were married 55 years.
Sherman retired from York Casket in Marshfield and after his retirement he enjoyed being with his wife and children, engaging in camping, traveling or lazy Sunday drives.
He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and has faithfully served the Lord as a member of the Fordland United Methodist Church. We will miss the love and prayers that he had for everyone and he leaves behind a legacy of love and of courage to fight for what he believed in and a spirit of faith to carry us through our hard times. We will cherish the memories he created for each of and we will carry on his memory by celebrating his life and accomplishments. We can take comfort in knowing that we will meet him again.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Sam, Johnnie, Lloyd, Luther and Gary Lowe; one sister, Alice Lorenz and her husband Jake; and a brother-in-law, Frank Allen.
He leaves behind his loving wife Wanda; five children and their spouses, Debbie and Don Cooper, Springfield, Karen Blazer, Marshfield, Kathy and Dave Carnahan, Fordland, Rebecca and Tim McHaffie, Fordland, and Ricky and Sarah Lowe, Marshfield; 12 grandchildren, Joseph, Rachel, Kayla, Ashley, Thomas, Matthew, Heather, Angel, Wyatt, Leah, Megan and Austin; nine great-grandchildren, Jacob, Dalen, Ralee, Aziza, Chole, Kaitlin, Kyle, Savannah and one great-grandchild due in March; one brother and his wife, Elvin and Charlesetta Lowe, Marshfield; one sister, Helen Allen, Buffalo; three sisters-in-law, Barbara Lowe, Marshfield, Evelyn Lowe, Wichita, KS and Fayma Lowe, Wichita, KS; and one sister-in-law and her husband, Wilma and Bill Jones, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2014 in the Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield. Interment will follow in the Marshfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
