Maxine Young, daughter of Benjamin Welch and Minnie (Vaughn) Welch, was born April 22, 1922 in Ozark County, MO. She passed away at 5:30 p.m. Friday, October 31, 2014 in her home near Marshfield at the age of 92.
Maxine was united in marriage to Calvin “Dude” Young on September 8, 1940. To this union three sons and two daughters were born. She was a homemaker and member of the Brentwood Church of Christ in Marshfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Hobart Reeves; and three sisters, Ada Plaster, Lois Cantrell and Elva Hubbell.
Survivors include three sons, Don Young and his wife Patricia, Nixa, Garrett Young and Roger Young, both of Springfield; two daughters, Connie Hackney and her husband Chuck, Elkland and Beverly Young, Marshfield; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2014 in the Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield. Interment will follow in the Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
