RITA COLLEEN CAMPBELL, daughter of Leo Hamilton and Ella ( Alexander ) Hamilton, was born December 5th, 1937 in Niangua, Mo. She passed away at 8:51p.m. Monday, November 10, 2014 in the Marshfield Care Center at the age of 76.
Colleen was a twenty year employee in the computer/data department for Mid-America Dairyman in Springfield, Mo. advancing her career several times by continuing her education. She was active in the Professional Business Woman’s Association. As a member of the Marshfield Christian Church, she spent many years singing in the choir, and serving on various committees. Colleen loved music, singing and playing the piano. She attended the Teachers College in Springfield as a young woman and spent two summers employed by the FBI in Washington D.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Marilyn Hargus; and one brother, Kenneth Hamilton.
Survivors include her husband Paul; her children, Randall Campbell and Alice , James Campbell and his wife, Pam, Paula Smith and her husband Buzz, Pam Lashley and her husband Earnest, and Jeff Campbell and his wife Barbara; one sister, Bernita Hamilton; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-children and many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2014 in the Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield. Interment will follow in the Marshfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m.
