Kenneth “Bud” Carl Detherow passed away on July 4, 2015 at his home in Marshfield at the age of 88.
“Bud” was in the military and worked construction as a brick layer. He also worked 10 years at Sugar Creek Creamery in Marshfield and left to go to San Jose, California to work construction with his brother, Ralph, but only worked a year in California. Bud always said he didn’t like being away from home and he hated the smog.
He is preceded in death by his parents Carl C. Detherow and Hannah Lillian Olive Tannehill. One daughter, Kay Wells. Five brothers, Roy, Luther Wayne, Robert Dean, Henry and Ralph Detherow. One sister, Susie Earline Detherow.
He is survived by one daughter; Sara Renee Detherow and her husband John O’Neal of Marshfield. Two step-children; Jeff Willis and wife Jean of Hermitage and Regina Steen of Marshfield. Thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. One sister, Dorothy Fay Climer of Marshfield.
Graveside services will be July 9th, 2015 at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with visitation on July 8th at Fraker Funeral Home from 6 to 7 p.m. .
