Mary Imogene (Jean) Hargus Willis was called home to be with the Lord on December 17, 2014, with her children gathered around her. Jean was saved at an early age. She was the sixth child born to John and Ada (Rader) Hargus, on the family farm East of Marshfield in an area known as High Prairie.
Mom loved the outdoors, watching her birds at the many feeders especially Red Cardinals and driving through the Ozark Hills in Spring to see the Dogwoods and wild flowers in bloom and Fall to look at the changing colors.
Mom was a great cook, seamstress and homemaker. She loved her family and all the get togethers.
Jean and John J. Willis were married on April 16, 1945, and had nine children together. Surviving their mother are all nine children; Donna (JD) Wiggs, Deloris (Jim) Thomas, Diane (Ron) Renai, her triplet sons, Rick (Devona) Willis, Robert Willis, Roger (Karen) Willis, Debbie (David) Groesbeck, Patty (Greg) Bilyeu and Pam (John) Phinney. Seventeen grandchildren and twenty six great grand-children and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving her are Jean’s sisters; Ruby Rippee, Kathryn Roetto and Brother Jerry (Barbara) Hargus and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Glen Hargus, Foster Hargus and three sisters; Pearl Stigall, Hazel Rankin and Jo Helen Ivie. Also a grandson Allen Willis and two nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with services immediately following visitation at 2:00 p.m. in Fraker Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers can be made to Black Oak Cemetery or charity of choice.
