Joe Rush Smith, son of James Rush Smith and Belle (Rearick) Smith, was born November 8, 1935 in Seymour, MO. He passed away at 3:55 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2015 in his home in Marshfield, at the age of 80.
Joe was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Fasco in Springfield. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; two sons, Carl Joe Smith, Marshfield and Brad Rush Smith and his wife Helen, Marshfield; and five grandchildren, Justin Rush Smith, Quaid Monroe Smith, Destynye Elizabeth Rush Smith, Owen Rush Smith and Emma Lacey Smith.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2016 in the Marshfield Cemetery under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield.
David “Gene” Eugene Butts passed away December 16, 2015 in his home south of Marshfield, MO at the age of 72 years. Gene was born to Ralph and Eula (Petty) Butts on March 18, 1943 in Springfield, MO.
Gene worked many years in construction and as a truck driver. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donald and Jerry Butts and one sister Irma Nance.
Gene is survived by his wife DeEtta Butts of Marshfield; two daughters, Dana Butts, Marshfield and Brittney Dyer and her husband Trey, Lipan, TX; two sons, Darrell Butts and Darren Butts both of Marshfield; two sisters; Bonnie Roetto and husband Mitch, Niangua and Judy Hayes, Marshfield; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2015 in the Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield. Interment will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
Sandra Lynn Marlin, 72, Conway, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016 in Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility, Bolivar.

Joseph Roy Stoll, Jr. , son of Joseph Roy Stoll and Joda Fay (Mendenhall) Stoll, was born April 25, 1926 in Higginsville, MO. He passed away at 3:13 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2016 in the Missouri Veterans Home, Mt. Vernon, Mo at the age of 89.
Roy was a Christian Church Disciples of Christ ordained minister. A member of the Lion’s Club and American Legion Post #142 in Marshfield. He was also an adult scout leader for the Boy Scouts of America for 34 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a daughter, Cheryl Elaine Ivy. He is survived by on son-in-law, Jimmie Ivy, Drury, Mo; and three grandchildren
His body has been cremated under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield.
Jack Davis Gragg, son of Parker Davis Gragg and Mamie Pearl (Wright) Gragg, was born April 6, 1935 in Durbin, West Virginia. He passed away at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2016 in the Webco Manor, Marshfield, at the age of 80.
Jack was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving as a medic and ambulance driver in Korea. He was saved at an early of age and was a lifelong member of the Church of the Brethern but faithfully attended Ebenezer Methodist Church for many years. he loved learning, reading and writing, especially poetry.
Survivors include one sister, Norma Pringle, Marshfield; one niece and her husband, Robin and Tom Rost, Marshfield; one great-nephew and his wife, Travis and Sally Rost, Marshfield; one great-niece and her husband, Tara and Tony Kinser, Marshfield; two great-great nieces, Sarah and Rachel Rost, Marshfield; and four special friends Tom Spriggs and Bill Fryer, both of Marshfield, George Triplett, Elkins, WV and Shirley Underwood, Madison, OH.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2016 in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery.
Daniel Ray Brumbaugh, son of JD Brumbaugh and Faye (Evans) Brumbaugh, was born December 13, 1957 in Selma, CA. He passed away at 9:25 a.m. Thursday, January 14, 2016 in his home in Marshfield, at the age of 58.
Dan worked in the medical field for many years. He started his medical career as an EMT which led to his 25 year nursing career in the fields of long term health care, hospice and Cox Health Systems. Dan loved spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren. His hobbies included fishing, camping, woodworking, cooking and gardening. In 2008 Dan received the gift of life through a liver transplant allowing him to continue to work hard and enjoy all the things he loved so much. He attended Landmark Church in Strafford and was a fisher of men even in his last days. He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife Anita; one daughter Jaime and her husband JB Milligan, Marshfield; one son Josh Brumbaugh and his wife, Bethany, Marshfield; his mother, Faye Brumbaugh, Marshfield; three grandchildren, Kaya Brumbaugh, Jackson Brumbaugh and Marcus Brumbaugh; two brothers, Jerry Brumbaugh, Marshfield and Ronald Brumbaugh and his wife Keena, Springfield; and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be at 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2016 in the Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield.
Lema Louise Hobson was born on May 22, 1928 to Harry and Amanda Price and went home to be with the Lord on January 26, 2016, at the age of 87 embraced by her family at Webco Manor in Marshfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glenn Hobson and three sisters, one brother and her son, Tommy.
She loved to paint, play guitar and play her harmonica while having her grandchildren by her side.
She is survived by four daughters; Barbara Lowe, Beverly Jones (Danny), Debbie Zimmerman (Frank) of Marshfield and Robin Ledford (Rick) of Elkland. One step-daughter; Pat Hobson of Marshfield and one step-son, J.E. Hobson (Jean Carol) also of Marshfield. One brother; Harry Price of Elkland and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren , great-great-grandchildren and many, many friends.
Services are planned for Saturday, January 30, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Marshfield Cemetery.
Patricia Foster Thompson, age 89, of Marshfield, Missouri passed away peacefully on January 27, 2016. She was born February 8, 1926 to John and Elizabeth (Fyan) Foster. She graduated from Drury University in 1948, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She married Otis E. Thompson who preceded her in death in 2000.
After many years as a home maker she taught social studies at Marshfield High School for twenty years. She was an active member of the Marshfield United Methodist Church, the sisterhood of PEO, Delta Kappa Gamma, Drury Women’s Auxiliary, the AAUW and many other community organizations.
She is survived by sons, Ken Thompson and his wife Joy, Wally Thompson and his wife Connie, and John Thompson and his wife Carolynn, her seven grandchildren; Julie Goodmann and her husband Joe, Will Thompson, Nicki Thompson and Matt Roy, Ricci Flowers and Jesse Kirk, Katie Thompson, Josh Thompson and his wife Alexandra, and Sophia Thompson; her five great grandchildren, Joey, Max, Kate, Lennon and Kendrick; and her sister-in-law Anne Foster, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Marshfield United Methodist Church at 2 p.m., under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield.

Shane Wade Lucas Womack, infant son of Robbie and Amber Womack, passed away on January 25, 2016 at Mercy in Springfield, MO.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Marquerite Mayfield and grandfather Shane Lambert. great-grandmother; Barbara Daniels, great-grandfather ;Dennis Eagleburger and great-great grandfather; Jack Lucas.
He is survived by his parents and a sister Addison of the home. A maternal grandmother, Denise Eagleburger of Fair Grove, MO; maternal great-grandmother; Linda Lucas of Fair Grove, MO and a great-great-grandmother; Doris Lucas also of Fair Grove, MO. Paternal grandparents are: Daniel Mayfield of Fair Grove, MO, great-grandparents; Jack and Phyllis Mayfield of Elkland, MO. A host of Aunts: Sara Davis and her husband Caleb of Fair Grove, MO., Kimberly Womack of Roseland, LA., Brittney Hinton of Fair Grove, MO. He will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Services are Saturday, January 30th, 2016 at the Community Southern Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with interment in Rock Prairie Cemetery.

Jean Buckner, daughter of Sam and Marian (Baker) Beadleston, was born February 25, 1929 in Eudora, Kansas. She passed away January 30, 2016, at Ravenwood Assisted Living, Springfield, Mo, at the age of 86.
Jean worked for the Milking Short Horn Association and Chevrolet for a short time before staying home to care for the house and farm. She married Alfred Buckner in 1947. They enjoyed 68 years of marriage. Alfred and Jean had two children, Steve and Julie; later in life parenting and adopting James and Mindy. Jean was an amazing solider for God. Alfred and Jean Buckner joined Timber Ridge Baptist Church during a revival in 1961. Jean played the piano, lead the music, taught VBS and Sunday School, active in WMU, was church treasurer, involved in a neighborhood bible study, and cooked many, many meals for celebrations, weddings, baby showers, VBS, and holiday gathers for the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Marian, son and daughter in-law Steve and Jan Buckner, daughter, Julie Buckner, four grandchildren, Kirk, Dennis, Timmy, and Michael Buckner. She missed them all dearly and now is having the most amazing celebration in heaven with them all.
She is survived by her husband, Alfred, of Marshfield, sister, Janice Beadleston, of Springfield, grandchildren James Buckner of Marshfield, Mindy Frazier and husband Rob of Ozark, two great grandchildren she absolutely adored Cale and Creek Frazier and a host of precious friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2016 in Timber Ridge Baptist Church, Marshfield. Burial will be in the Timber Ridge Cemetery, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield.
Visitation will be from 6-7:00 p.m. Tuesday in Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Timber Ridge Youth Program or to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of the funeral home.
Daniel “Pete” Laverne Tharpe was born on April 16, 1938 in Denver, Colorado to Harold Faubion and Bonnie McQuisten and passed away January 31, 2016 at his home in Marshfield, MO., at the age of 78.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sister, Pat Kidwell of Boise, Indiana, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2016 in the Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield.
Eula Mae Manary was born on October 2, 1922 and departed this life on February 1, 2016. She was loved and will be missed by her family and by her many friends. Eula Mae was the daughter of Wesley Deckard and Oma Crawford Deckard. She grew up in a loving family that included her brother, Everett, and her sisters, Sylvia and Toots. She attended High Point school until the 8th grade and then attended Niangua High School.
In the summer of 1940, Eula Mae married the love of her life, Argus Manary. The two were married for 60 years. They shared much joy and comforted each other in times of sadness. Their marriage produced two children: John Manary and Joyce Manary Young.
Together, Mae and Argus enjoyed spending time with their friends and family, attending church and community events, and gardening. They also enjoyed several trips to destinations around the U.S. with the Marshfield Seniors Club.
Eula Mae was a farm wife through and through. She will long be remembered for her skills raising calves on the farm and cooking biscuits in the kitchen. Many will fondly remember her fried chicken, hot rolls, and cream pies. Those she leaves behind will find comfort in the warmth of the many quilts she made as Christmas gifts over the years.
The greatest sorrow in Eula Mae’s life was the loss of her daughter Joyce in 1972. The loss would never completely lose its sting, but she was able to find happiness in the closeness she shared with her son, John, and the love and pride she felt for his sons, David, Mark, and Matt.
Eula Mae loved her home and family, but she also loved her church family and her many other friends. She enjoyed spending time with the Marshfield Quilting Club and the Thursday Ladies Church group. She was able to enjoy attending services at Marshfield Church of Christ right up to the end of her life and had good friends who took her to church and then back home again so that she could continue to enjoy time with her church family. At the end of her life, Eula Mae lived at the Strafford Care Center. The family wishes to extend a note of thanks to the staff there for the care, kindness, and respect they provided to Eula Mae and her family.
Eula Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Oma Deckard, her husband, Argus Manary, her daughter, Joyce Young, her brother, Everett Deckard, her sister, Tennie “Toots” Clift and an infant brother. She is survived by her devoted son, John Manary and daughter-in-law, Kitty Manary, her grandson David Manary his wife, Jane, and daughter, Eve, her grandson, Mark Manary, his wife, Dennie, son, Luke, and daughter, Camille, her grandson, Matt Manary, his wife, Julie, daughters Tatum, Riley, and Miller, and his son, Boone, her sister, Sylvia Price, and her son-in-law, David Young. She also leaves behind many treasured nieces and nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2016 in the Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield. Interment will follow in the Marshfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Adeline Ida Meyer Kallemyn, 85, went home to be with our Lord, on Wednesday, February 3, 2016. She passed peacefully in her sleep while residing in her temporary home at the Houston House Nursing Home in Houston, Missouri. Prior to November 25, 2015 she lived in her home in Plato, Missouri.
Adeline was born on Sunday (although she always told everyone it was a Friday) July 13, 1930 at the Volga hospital in Volga, South Dakota to Otto and Susie (Piebenga) Meyer. She grew up on the farm in rural Volga with her eight brothers and sisters. She was the second youngest in the family. She graduated Volga High School on May 21, 1948.
After high school she went on to receive her teaching certificate and taught in New Holland, South Dakota and Holland, Minnesota.
She ventured on to college and graduated from the Reformed Bible Institute (now known as Kuyper College) in Grand Rapids, Michigan on May 25, 1955 with a three year degree in General Bible Course Preparatory to Lay Work in Churches and Missions.
On June 20, 1957 (“the hottest day of the year”) she married Wesley Nick Kallemyn at the Volga Christian Reformed Church.
She taught and Wes farmed from 1957 to 1959. In December of 1959, Leslie Jann was born and six weeks later they were living in Southern California owning and running an 8000 chicken/egg ranch in Rialto, California.
In 1963, she began teaching at Fontana Christian School in Fontana, California. She taught several grades but ended up teaching math and science to 6th through 8th graders, the subjects and grades she loved the most.
In 1975, she and Wes started a new adventure in Marshfield, Missouri. Here she was busy with many things from helping build their home from ground up to working at Exotic Animal Paradise in Strafford, Missouri.
In October 1987, they auctioned off all their worldly belongings, bought a 5th wheel and traveled the United States.
In 1997, they settled down and built a home in Plato, Missouri next to Leslie and her family and lived a quiet, content life.
Adeline loved and served the Lord all her life. She always had her Bible next to her. She was generous to a fault and was faithful in encouraging others. She continued to write family and friends words of encouragement up until going into the nursing home.
Survivors include her husband Wesley, daughter Leslie (Kallemyn) Teague, her son in law Tommy, grandson Austin, and numerous nephews and nieces, friends and neighbors, and her kitties Autumn and Tinkerbell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers George, Henry, Peter, William, and Alvin, her three sisters Helen, Wilhelmia, and Gladys, and grandson Wesley Dean Teague.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 in the Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield. Visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Private interment will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetary – Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Memorials may be made in Adeline’s honor to the Houston House Nursing Home, Houston, Missouri.
Edward Spencer Kindle, 76, Mansfield, passed away at 10:40 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2016 in the Cox Medical Center South, Springfield.
Ed was a longtime television and appliance repairman and attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Erma; one son and his wife, Shawn and Lori Kindle, Mansfield; two daughters, Alicia Kindle, Catoosa, OK and Angie Litton, Mt. Vernon, IL; one brother and his wife, Kenny and Clara Kindle, East Prairie, MO; three sisters, Jancy Odle, Nashville, TN, Millie Esterline and her husband Jeff, Nashville, TN and Debbie Kimble, Morehouse, MO; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 15, 2016 in the Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield. Interment will follow in the Newton School Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visitation will from 4-6:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Patsy Anne Denney, age 70, passed away at Springfield Rehab and Health Care Center in Springfield, on February 29, 2016. She was born on March 25, 1945, to Ben and Helen (Muse) Hunt in Woodlake, CA.
She was a seamstress for Tracker Marine for many years.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers; Don and Ronnie Hunt along with two sisters; Charlotte Hunt and Diane Rosebrock.
She is survived by her daughter; Elizabeth Stahl and her husband, Eddie of Springfield, MO. Two grandchildren; Madison Rene Stahl and Seth Alexander Stahl. One brother; Chester Hunt and his wife Marilyn of Springfield. Cousins; Kathleen Hunt of Springfield and Bob and Doris Hunt of Marshfield.
Services are under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home on Thursday, March 3, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel at Fraker’s. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
James Riley Hale, 85, Fordland, passed away at 1:18 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016 in his home.
James was a retired United States Air Force Veteran and member of the Webster County Veterans Memorial Team. He was preceded in death by his wife Elsie; and one son Richard.
Survivors include two sons, Roger Hale, Marshfield and Darrell Hale and his wife Sheila, Fordland; one daughter and her husband, Debra and Tom Cornelison, Mt. Vernon; one daughter-in-law, Audrey Hale, Fordland; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in the Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield. Interment with full military honors will be at 1:00 p.m. in the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery, Springfield.
Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
