Rebecca Lynn Tucker

Rebecca  Lynn Tucker, age 60, went home to be with the Lord on August 2, 2015 at 9:26 p.m.  at her  home in Marshfield.

She was born to Peggy  Ann(Teal) Burchfield and Billie Joe Johnson Sr. on February 4, 1955 in Davenport, Iowa.

Rebecca was a beautician in Marshfield for many years after moving here from New Jersey.  She was a member of the Northview Tabernacle Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Terry Tucker and father, Billie Johnson, Sr. and one sister, Deborah Starks.  Two brothers; Billie Johnson, Jr. , and Brian Johnson.  A nephew, Tyler Christian Brunson.

Rebecca is survived by her children; Stephen Joe Tucker  and wife Kara, of Fenton, MO and daughter, Heather Dawn Baldwin and her husband Michael, of Lake St. Louis, MO.    Her mother, Peggy Burchfield, of Marshfield.  One sister,  Christina Brunson of San Diego, CA.  Two grandchildren,  Aiden Joe Tucker and Xavier Michael Baldwin.

Services will be at Fraker Funeral Home on Thursday, August 6th, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. with interment at Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Springfield at 2:00 p.m. also on August 6th.   Visitation will be Wednesday , August 5th, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Fraker Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Baldrick’s Foundation per Rebecca’s request.

 

 


Norma Jean Redus

Norma Jean Redus, daughter of Paul E. Tibbs and Lillian (Bennett) Tibbs, was born January 31, 1951 in Culver City, California. She passed away at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in the Mercy Hospital, Springfield, at the age of 64.

Norma was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband Marvin, Republic; three children, Christina Tramel and her husband Philip, Richland, MO,  David Redus and his wife Laura, Republic, MO,  and James Redus and his wife Nicole, Springfield, MO; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five sisters and one brother, Paula Highfill, Springfield, MO, Linda Holt, Springfield, MO, Jim “Bud” Tibbs, Grandview, MO, Debbie, Teresa and Machelle; and several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2015 in the Welch Cemetery, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield. Visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

 

Raymond Holstine

Raymond Holstine on front cardRaymond Holstine, son of the late Clyde and Ora (Mitchell) Holstine was born on November 16, 1924 in a small farm house in Bakersfield, MO.  He passed away peacefully on July 30, 2015 in his home at Marshfield, MO. at the age of 90.

Ray went to Bakersfield School 1st grade thru 8th grade when he had to quit and help out with the farm.  At age 17, he enlisted in the Navy where he served for two years.  He then enlisted in the army where he fought in WWII.

After returning home from the war, he met his bride of 68 years, Grace Roberts in the fields of Marked Tree, Arkansas. To this union three girls were born.  Patricia Kay (Holstine) Beardsley and husband Donald; Deborah Lee (Holstine) Wilson and husband Randy of Strafford, MO. and Cynthia Kay (Holstine) Jinks and husband Jerry.  To these unions were born seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Ray –dad- gpa-papa thought the world of his family and loved each and every one very much.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Ora Holstinel.  Two brothers, Leaman Holstine and Gene Holstine along with one sister, Geneva.

He is survived by his wife Grace and three daughters.  His grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  One brother,Mack, who lives in Kansas City, Kansas.

Ray loved to hunt, fish, travel and spend every waking moment with family and friends.  Ray accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior a few years ago in Niangua at the Niangua Freewill Baptist Church which was his church home.

Ray was a driving force in his family and everyone will miss his corny jokes and crazy songs.  His chair will forever be the light that warms the room.

Graveside services will be held at Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Springfield on August 17, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.

Dorothy Jean Montgomery, daughter of W.J. (Bob) and Clella (Abney) Truitt, was born September 10, 1943 in Ozark, Mo. She passed away at 6:50 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2015 in the Marshfield Care Center at the age of 71.

Dorothy worked for many years at Hagel Industries, York Casket and recently at Fraker Funeral Home in Marshfield. She was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Carol Cardwell.

Survivors include one son, Steven Montgomery, Marshfield; two daughters, Vicki Montgomery, Marshfield, and Stacie Moore, Marshfield; one grandson, Christopher Montgomery, Warsaw; four granddaughters, Victoria Miller and her husband Hiram, Warsaw, Megan Cruise, Marshfield, Ashlea Harman, Marshfield, and Kaedra Moore, Marshfield; two great-grandchildren, E.J. Miller and Ari Miller; two brothers, Robert Truitt and his wife Carolyn, Olathe, KS, and Tony Roberts and his wife Vicky, Marshfield; two sisters, Linda Masterson, Marshfield and Anita Brumbaugh and her husband Dan, Marshfield; and her special furbabies, Gizmo, Cami and Tre.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in the Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield. Interment will follow in the Marshfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

Johnnie Sanders

Johnnie Sanders, 61, Marshfield, passed away Monday August 18, 2015 in his home.

Funeral services be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2015 in the Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield. Interment will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery, Ava, Mo. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Estelle Menda (Willis) Linder, daughter of Gafford Willis and Alma Inez (Haggard) Willis, was born February 9, 1925 near Northview, MO. She passed away at 11:37 a.m. Sunday, August 16, 2015 in the Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, at the age of 90.

Estelle was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Hugh Linder; three brothers, Leafford Willis, Glenn Willis and Bill Willis; and five sisters, Nola Dalton, Betty Bumgarner, Roberta Mansker, June West and Helen West.

Survivors include one daughter and her husband, Mary Ann and Russell Hillpot, Glendale, AZ; one granddaughter, Jennifer Ann Hillpot, Fordland; one brother, Delmar Willis, Northview; two sisters, Loretta Barton and her husband Paul, Fordland and Cynthia Higgins; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2015 in the Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield. Interment will follow in the Welch Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

 

 

Iva Lee Staples

Iva Lee Staples, daughter of Claude H. Alford and Georgia Lee (Medlock) Alford, was born December 21, 1920 near Niangua, MO. She passed away at 1:20 p.m. Monday, August 17, 2015 in the Webco Manor, Marshfield, at the age of 94.

Iva Lee and husband Bland, were united in marriage on February 8, 1938 in Waynesville, MO. She owned and operated Staples Grocery near Niangua and later worked for H.D Lee and County Kitchen Restaurant. She was also a longtime member of the Prospect Baptist Church and accepted Christ at an early age and one of her greatest joy’s was singing at church.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband; one grandson, Ronney Buckmaster; one sister, Velma “Sis” Street; and one brother, Lavelle Alford.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandy Day, Grovespring, and Patsy Sue Staples; two grandsons, Shane Landers, Battlefield, and Dustin Day, Niangua; two granddaughters, Tina Brennan, Waynesville, and Kim Swisher, Sedalia; and three great-grandchildren, Bland Landers, Battlefield, Lexi Day, Marshfield, and Erica Buckmaster, Springfield.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2015 in the Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.  on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in the Prospect Baptist Cemetery, Niangua.

 


Mabel Pearl Ragsdale

Mabel RagsdaleMabel P. (Semsch) Ragsdale passed away August 20, 2015 at the age of 96 years, 8 months and 4 days. Mabel was born January 16, 1919 to Else Mae (Farr, Vandall) Semsch and William F. Semsch in Diggins, Missouri.

Mable was preceded in death by her mother and father, brothers Clarence Vandall, Carl Semsch and Billy Semsch; her sister, Mae (Semsch) Brixie, and her daughter Juanita (Palmer) Englehardt.

Mabel is survived by her son Clarence Ragsdale Jr. and wife Donna and her grandchildren Alan Ragsdale, Eugene Palmer, Curtis Scott Palmer and his wife Wanda, Richard Palmer, Lionel Palmer, Steven Palmer and his wife Christina, Tommy Englehardt and his wife Velvet, Sherri (Ragsdale) Harrell and her husband Charlie, Heather Ragsdale and Stephanie (Englehardt) Oak and her husband Robert.  Additionally great-grandchildren Christopher Palmer and his wife Debbie and many other great and great-great-grandchildren.

Mabel was a loving,dedicated and caring person.  She cared for her mother during Else’s senior years and her son-in-law Ben and daughter Juanita during their battle with cancer.  She touched many lives and will be remembered by all that knew her.

Viewing will be held at Fraker Funeral Home in Marshfield, MO, Friday, August 28, 2015 and services will be Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral home and interment will be at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in care of Fraker Funeral Home P.O. Box 85, Marshfield, MO in honor of Mabel Ragsdale.

Diane Woods

Diane Woods, daughter of Robert Earl Woods and Ruth (Gilmer) Woods was born November 11, 1950 in Los Angeles. CA.  She passed away August 23, 2015 at her home in Marshfield, MO at the age of 64 years, 9 months and 12 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved fur children; Arriba, Wiley, Buckwheat and Blitza.

Survivors include two sisters; Linda Woods, Glenside, PA and Roberta Schvener, Marshfield; her niece, Andrea Edwards and great-niece, Alicia Pearcy both of Ozark, MO.

Diane was a Marshfield High School graduate in 1968.  She attended SMS were she majored in Theatre and received a degree in Fine Arts.  She spent many years as the lighting director for theater productions including Tent Theatre.  After college she moved to Houston, TX and used her technical skills working for ATT installing telephones.  She was one of the first ladies to climb the poles in the late 1970’s.  As technology advanced, she honed her skills and worked installing communication and computer systems for large corporation such as British Petroleum.  Her work ethic and high standards of performance won her the respect of her colleagues and clients.

Diane enjoyed white water rafting and spent many years as a guide on rivers in TX and Colorado.

Diane was active in Greyhound Rescue and gave loving homes to four retired racing dogs.  She loved these pups, especially her “Heart Dog”, Arriba.  Diane was a strong woman with a sharp wit who will be greatly missed by those who knew her and loved her.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2015 in the Marshfield Cemetery, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Marshfield Senior Center Building Fund at Fraker Funeral Home P.O. Box 85 Marshfield, MO or left at the Funeral home.

 

Maxine Saunders

img487Maxine Saunders, 95, Strafford, passed at 9:20 a.m. Monday, August 24, 2015 in the Strafford Care Center.

Maxine is the daughter of William Andrew Foley and Tennessee (Vaughn) Foley. She was born July 17, 1920 near Strafford, MO. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Vernie Foley, William Raymond Foley, Sanford Millard Foley,Herman Franklin Foley,Charles W. Foley,and Etta Ann(Foley)Evans.

Maxine never had children of her own but was quick to help family members and friends with their children when help was needed. She was a caregiver which was evident as she cared for Si and Cecil during their illness,until their death. She loved her home,reading,cooking,and reminiscing about her life. She had some great stories to share. If you asked her church preference she would quickly declare she was Baptist and proud of it but respected everyone’s faith.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2015 in the Shiloh Cemetery, Strafford, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield.

Audie DeHart, age 86, passed away August 24, 2015 at Webco Manor in Marshfield, MO.  Audie was born on September 28, 1928.

Audie was a principal of Marshfield Schools for many years and a member of Marshfield Christian Church.

Services are planned for Friday, August 28, 2015, 11:00 a.m at the Marshfield Christian Church and interment at Antioch Cemetery in Pittsburg, Mo., following the service.  No visitation at this time.

Timothy Alan Csikos

Timothy Alan Csikos, age 46, passed away at Fair Grove, MO on August 22, 2015.  He was born on March 3, 1969 and served in the Army.  Timothy was an independent contractor.

He is preceded in death by his mother; Jane Henry.

He is survived by his wife Grace of the home.  Three sons; Adam Caplan, Indiana, Kenneth Wyllie and wife (Nicole) of Merrillville, Indiana and Andrew Gipson of Australia.  One daughter; Theresa Bailey and her husband (Ronald) of Fair Grove, MO.  Grandchildren; Christina Bailey, Jeffrey Kikkert, Merrill Kikkert Jr., Christian Kikkert, Brandon Watt and Jonathan Watt.  Great-grandchild Jerica Bailey.  One brother; Brian Csikos and his wife (Darcy) of Michigan, father-in-law; Eugene Gibson and two special friends; Stephen Pabey and Robert (Bob) VanLoon.   Aunts and Uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

No services are planned at this time.

Howard Lee Williams

Howard WilliamsHoward Lee Williams passed away on August 24, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO., at the age of 78.  He was born on January 14, 1937 to Roy Williams and Francis (Walker) Williams in Stella, MO.

He was a truck driver for Consolidated Freight and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Howard is preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty, one son Jim and one sister, Donna Schler.

He is survived by two sons; Gene Williams and Jerry (Sandi) Williams all of Marshfield.  One daughter; Carol (Bill) Gintz also of Marshfield.  Six grandchildren; Derek Williams, Brock Williams, Hannah Williams, Laci Clark, Staci Williams and Tesia Harris.  Four great-grandchildren; Ryleigh Handle, Nathan Clark, Cooper Harris and Audrey Harris.  Two sisters; Kay Carter, Tamrus, IL., and Pearl Crowley of Kearney, MO.

Services will be on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Fraker Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Hospice and left at Fraker Funeral Home P.O. Box 85, Marshfield, MO.

Jill Ann Hyde, daughter of Dale and Linda (Neill) Hyde, was born July 3, 1963 in Springfield, MO. She passed away Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Barber Home in Mtn. Grove at the age of 52.

Jill is survived by her parents; one sister and her husband, Dena and Curt Weaver, Marshfield; one brother, Neill Hyde, Marshfield; one nephew, Kiley Weaver, St. Louis; two nieces, Jalyn Weaver and Leah Hyde, both of Marshfield; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2015 in the Marshfield Cemetery Pavilion, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield. Angela Arnold Medley

img506Angela Kay (Arnold) Medley, daughter of C.T. and Theresa Arnold, was born June 16, 1967 in Rockford, Ill. She passed away at 11:35 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 in the Cox Medical Center, Springfield.

Angie was a homemaker and a 1985 graduate of Marshfield High School. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Chelsea Cootz; and a son, Buddy Cootz.

Survivors include her husband, John; two children, Christopher Arnold and Isabella Medley; her parents, C.T. and Theresa Arnold, Marshfield; one brother and his wife, Mike an Joann Arnold, Kansas City; one grandson, Zane Arnold; and her nieces and nephews, Shane, Katilyn and Brittney Arnold.

At Angie’s request, her body has been cremated and services, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, will be announced at a later date.

He is deceased by his parents; Betty Lahm, his step-mother, Grandparents; Charles and Maude Lahm and Maternal grandparents; Denver and Juanita Sego.  Two sisters, Darla Cronin, Evelyn Keen, one brother, Jack Helms and brother-in-law, Darrell Young.

He is survived by his wife Tywana Lahm; two sons, Denny and David of Seymour and daughter, Melanie also of the home.  Sisters: Charlotte (Chris) Sartin of Springfield, Gayla (Leslie) Moore of Springfield, Sandra Young of Mansfield, Barbara Gordon of Ontario, Oregon, Jane (Wayne) Clifton of Marshfield, Tammy (Kyle) Tracy of Seymour and Jennifer Helms also of Seymour.  Brother; Mike (Debbie) Helms of Lincoln, MO.  Nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at Fraker Funeral Home with visitation at 4:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Keith D. Schreffler

Keith D. Schreffler, son of Lamar Schreffler  and Gladys (Dobson) Zartman, was born September 21, 1951 in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. He passed away Saturday, September 12, 2015 in his home near Seymour.

Keith was maintenance technician at French’s in Springfield. He was also a member and a Deacon of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church near Hartville.  He gave his life to the Lord and was baptized on May 29, 1983.   He was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Schreffler and paternal grandparents Early and Myrl Schreffler and his maternal grandparents Charles and Ida Dobson.

Survivors include his wife Carol; three children, Keith Schreffler, Jr and his wife Melissa, White Deer, PA, AnnMarie Williams and her husband Mark, Pleasant Hope,  and Dennis Schreffler, Seymour; his father, Lamar Schreffler, Sunbury, PA; his mother, Gladys Zartman, Millersburg, PA;six grandchildren; Corey Williams, Matthew Williams, Kyle Schreffler, Zachary Schreffler, Hanna Schreffler,  Caleb Schreffler and a special friend of the family, Brittany Jackson; and 10 brothers and sisters, Bontenia Wilkinson, Debbie Hayes, Janet Shutt, Robin Schaffner, Doyle Schreffler, Lorrie Snyder, Cindy Hoffman, Pete Zartman, Peggy Coltrane and Candi Randolph; and his Missouri mother, Freda Pyatt, Hartville.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 17, 2015 in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Hartville. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield.

Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2015 in the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Mt. Zion Cemetery in care of Fraker Funeral Home, P.O. Box 85, Marshfield, MO 65706.

William Hoover Long

William Hoover Long was born on January 4, 1929 near Phillipsburg, Missouri to Harvey William Long and Anna Mae Chastain Long. He died on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at his home near Phillipsburg, Missouri.  On July 3, 1956 he was united in marriage to Bernice Lucille Long.

He is proceeded n death by his wife, Bernice, twin babies, Debby and Danny, his parents, to brothers, Harley Long and Carlton Long and their wives.

He is survived by three children and their spouses, Steven carter Long and wife Rhonda of the state of Virginia, Sharen Lynne Hillhouse and husband Danny of Phillipsburg, Susan Gayle Bilger and husband James of Conway.  Seven grandchildren, Stephanie and James Buckner of Marshfield, Laura and Jared O’Quinn, Marshfield, Steven and Jennifer Long, Texas, Krysta Hillhouse Combs, Mount Vernon, Tiffany and Matthew Spangler of Kirbyville, William “Pete” Hillhouse of Republic and Heather Bilger of Conway.

He also leaves behind 8 great-grandchildren, Jayce O’Quinn, Kayley Buckner, Jordan O’Quinn, Maggie Buckner, Annabelle Combs, Harper O’Quinn, Mattie Spangler and new born baby boy Long.  He is also survived by many brother’s and sister’s-in-law, nieces , nephews, friends and family.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 Saturday, September 19, 2015 in Graceland Cemetery, Conway, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Marshfield.
